It is so cold here today that I found myself deeply regretting getting acclimatized to the Mid-Atlantic. Maybe I should take weekend constitutionals to Greenland to get my Hoosier durability back.

In other news, this weekend I went to see Cirque Eloize's show entitled Rain. One of the commandments of my old dorm clique was "Thou shalt not be French," but Cirque Eloize is Canadian, and most of the tumblers are actually Polish, so it's okay. I highly recommend it-- people cavorting and contorting and fitting into suitcases. Lai de dai de dai...

Happy New Year! No resolutions this year, but I'm really hoping to keep the production streak going. On an unrelated note, I drove over 2000 miles this holiday. I'd rather not do that again any time soon.

Thomas Dolby is supposed to be playing tonight at the Birchmere. Unfortunately, I'll have other obligations, but I try not to talk too much about those. I still highly recommend the show-- Dolby's astounding live (which you mightn't think possible for an electronic artist).

Whew! I've got the holiday buffer finished, so Alas is good to go through the start of 2007. The final count will be 114 strips in 2006, beating my previous record by an even dozen. Actually, it's not too long now before I hit strip number 500. That sounds pretty auspicious, but the truth is that after all this time I'm still just learning to do this.
