- I think I'll go see some historical re-enactments this weekend. A little Washington, a little Jefferson. Watch those actors really suffer under the wigs in this weather.

- Practicing my Turkish and Japanese had been difficult. Imagine my joy when I discovered Turkish and Japanese speaking colleagues at my new place of employment.

- Let it rain. Let the clouds roll in, let the vines in the garden rise up. Just don't let any more of these "ski-toes" plague my back yard.

- I'm back from a quick visit to Hoosier-land-- there will be a new strip this Friday. Since I'm now employed and facing a regular daily schedule, we can also hope for steady updates next week as well.

- I'm back! There will be a strip later today, after jet lag has settled down a bit. Profound thanks (I think) to Gopher for the first ever Guest Strips on Alas!
